EDUCATION PROGRAM

IIAM-Winner- 1999 & 2006 L.P. McCord Award
for the 'Outstanding Education Program'

One of the primary goals of the Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland is to provide a wide range of educational opportunities for its members. The Executive Vice President and 7 qualified, approved instructors, serve to develop and present seminars and workshops throughout the State of Maryland. Currently, the IIAM has 58 seminars filed in Maryland for continuing education credits.

Licensing:
We offer two licensing programs.  Our licensing course is offered for those having no experience in the industry and as per Maryland law, required to take the full classroom study.  This is a week long program with required home study.

Our two day program is for those individuals who have over one year's experience in the insurance industry.  It provides a hands-on approach and reviews both personal and commercial insurance.  The program also reviews Maryland law.    This program does not fulfill the required classroom hours for licensing.
