For almost a century the Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland has served its members through multiple fronts. The IIAM is a vital link between the voices of the agents and legislators, both in Annapolis and on Capitol Hill. The IIAM also boasts the premium education program, for agents, in the State of Maryland, with over 35 courses approved for continuing education.
IIAM has been awarded IIABA's 'L.P. McCord Award' for 'Outstanding Education Program' in 1999 and again in 2006.
The IIAM , winner of IIABA's "Outstanding State Association" in 1996 and 1998 and winner of the 1995 outstanding newsletter award, publishes the "Maryland Messenger" six times per year and the "Legislative Bulletin", every month, during the operation of the Maryland General Assembly. The IIAM truly a leader in communication, legislative and technical issues and education clearly is the agents choice in Maryland.
